All gift cards purchased are in brand new condition and ready for self-use or gifting. The design printed on the front of the gift card may differ than the image displayed on the website. We try our best to fulfill orders with single cards matching the purchased denomination, but depending on inventory, orders may be filled using several smaller denominations (eg. a $300 listing may be filled with three $100 gift cards). If you have any issues with redemption, we are here to help! All of our transactions are 100% guaranteed.


To comply with supply agreements, regulatory purposes, and for general fraud prevention, we retain the ability to limit gift card purchases at our sole discretion.


Shipping is FREE! Gift card orders are processed and mailed out via Canada Post regular mail within 2 business days. Most gift cards are received within a week of placing your order. Orders can only be shipped to the billing address on file or verified PayPal address from your PayPal account.
Mobile gift cards will be emailed to the email address on file within 2 business days and can be used in-store or online at select merchants.
Printable gift cards will be emailed to the email address on file within 2 business days and must be printed and redeemed in-store.
In order to ensure that your transaction is secure, we may delay processing until we are able to confirm your identity.


All orders are final. Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds or exchanges on any transaction.


Rakuten Gift Card Shop offers two secure forms of payment:

Credit card — Credit card payments are processed by one of Canada's largest payment processors through their secure and encrypted platform. Your billing address for your credit card and shipping address must match for the transaction to be processed successfully. You will see a charge from Rakuten Gift Card Shop on your credit card statement.
PayPal — You can use your verified PayPal account for your purchases. Payment using PayPal provides all the enhanced security and protection offered by PayPal – the world's largest e-commerce payment platform. Your gift cards can only be shipped to your verified Paypal address on file (not your Rakuten Gift Card Shop account address). If paying by credit card through PayPal, you will see a charge from GIFTCRDSHOP or GIFTCARDSHOP on your credit card statement.


Why wait for your gift card to arrive in the mail? Mobile and printable gift cards are eGift cards that are emailed directly to you.
Mobile gift cards will be emailed to the email address on file within 2 business days and can be used in-store or online.
Printable gift cards will be emailed to the email address on file within 2 business days and must be printed and redeemed in-store.

Reloadable gift cards provide you with the ease and convenience of reloading and reusing your card whenever you like. You must first purchase a reloadable gift card, then top up funds when necessary. Funds are reloaded on gift cards within 48 business hours.
For security purposes you MUST use the same credit card for all subsequent reloads. PayPal is not accepted for reloadable gift card purchases.


After you've made your purchase and your gift card order has been processed, a gift card pickup email will be sent to you. You can access your digital gift card through the link provided in the email. (Remember, you can easily have this email re-sent to you via the My Account page.) For security purposes, you will need to be logged into your RakutenGiftCards.ca account to access the link.

When the digital gift card is successfully opened, simply copy and paste the entire URL and forward this to your friend. This final link can be used by anyone who is provided this URL and there is no further security required.


Unfortunately, for security purposes we only ship to the credit card billing address. You can forward the gift card to your friend after you receive it, or for faster service you can choose a digital gift card option if available.


To access your previously purchased digital ecodes, please go to My Account > Gift Cards Purchased > Status > Resend. Please wait for the email which would be sent within 5 minutes. Also, be sure to check all your folders including spam in case it is filtered. (Note: If you used PayPal for payment your ecode will be sent to your PayPal email address.)


Rakuten Gift Card Shop is operated by Esiance. Linking your account will allow Esiance to report your transaction to Rakuten so you receive Cash Back for every purchase.

You will be asked to link after making each transaction. If your session isn't linking:

• Try a different browser if the current one is not working
• Turn off all ad blockers and include both RakutenGiftCards.ca and Rakuten.ca as safe sites
• Start the transaction over by logging into Rakuten.ca before making your purchase.
