Gifting Instructions
If you would like to gift a digital code purchased on RakutenGiftCards.ca, you will need to access your digital gift card through the secure link provided in your delivery email. Remember, you can easily resend the email through the My Account area on our website. For security purposes, you will need to be logged into your RakutenGiftCards.ca account to access the link.
When the digital gift card is successfully open, simply copy and paste the entire URL and forward this to your friend. Please be aware that this final link can be used by anyone who is provided this URL, and there is no further security protecting it.
Linking your order to a Rakuten account after each transaction allows your Cash Back earned to be credited to your Rakuten account.
If your transactions status is unlinked then this process was not complete and your order will not be processed. Your credit card will not be charged for unlinked transactions.
To link your accounts there is a Red Button that will redirect you to login to your Rakuten account to receive Cash Back. At the end of the transaction you will see a “Congratulations" screen with a reference number, then the order has been successfully completed.
Please ensure you are logging into the same Rakuten account as on your initial gift card order. The email address used on Rakuten Gift Card Shop does not need to be the same as your Rakuten account. If you have changed your email address on your Rakuten account, please email us to let us know so we can reset the linking process.
Tip: Please try a different browser if the current one is not working, turn off all ad blockers and start the transaction by logging into Rakuten.ca before making the gift card purchase.
In order to access your digital ecodes, please login to your Rakuten Gift Card Shop account (not Rakuten), go to My Account > Gift Cards Purchased > Status > Resend. Please wait for the email which would be sent within 5 minutes. Also, be sure to check all your folders including spam in case it is filtered.
Note: If you used PayPal for payment your ecode will be sent to your PayPal email address.
